Stratos Bi-Weekly Progress Report: July 28,2022 — August 16,2022

Last week, the Stratos team had the privilege of attending and exhibiting at the Blockchain Futurist Conference 2022 in Toronto, the largest blockchain and crypto conference in Canada. We had a great time meeting like-minded founders, builders, and Stratos community members and talking about decentralized cloud solutions for Web3 and Web2. (You can check our event recap here.)

Bin, our founder, was on the main stage discussing the importance of a solid decentralized infrastructure in the fast-growing Web 3.0 space and how Stratos decentralized storage solutions can power builders and support content storage and data ownership. Numerous audiences from various backgrounds, such as Web 2, IT consulting, and government agencies responded positively to Bin’s presentation. Our attendance at this event resulted in meaningful connections, and we are looking forward to pursuing exciting opportunities in the future.

Due to the conference and a review/planning of the next stage of the implementation until mainnet, we extended this sprint for 3 more days. While a number of team members attended the conference, the rest of the team was not relaxing. Progress has been made in a number of areas.

We have resolved a key blocking issue related to the encoding/decoding performance of the mobile wallet. This has allowed the mobile wallet to proceed to the review stage on both the Apple Store and the Google Play Store once again.

Our team has located a memory leak issue at the very deep level of the framework of SDS and metanode layer, which happens when the metanode has more than a couple of thousands of connections with SDS resources nodes. In the coming sprint, the fixes will be deployed to the Tropos testnet and evaluated along the way.

We have finished the PP Monitoring Dashboard API and started to test it in the devnet.

The SDS SDK is being added to the stratos-sdk. The process will take some time to complete, but it will also prove useful in testing SDS RPC.
