This document covers the minimum and recommended hardware requirements for engaging with the Stratos Network as different types of node runners.

The Stratos Network is composed of multiple levels of nodes and services, such as:

  • Stratos Chain validator
  • Resource Node service provider Tier 1,2,3

CPU: >= 8 Cores , >= 2.5 GHz

RAM: 32GB

Storage: >= 2TB

Min Stake: 1 STOS

Bandwidth: N/A

Resource Node

Node Type: Tier 1

CPU: >= 8 Cores , >= 2.5 GHz

RAM: 16GB

Storage: >= 4TB

Min Stake: 800 STOS

Bandwidth: Up: 50Mbps Down: 100Mbps

Resource Node

Node Type: Tier 2

CPU: >= 16Cores , >= 2.5 GHz

RAM: 32GB

Storage: >= 8TB

Min Stake: 1600 STOS

Bandwidth: Up: 100Mbps Down: 100Mbps

Resource Node

Node Type: Tier 3

CPU: >= 32 Cores , >= 2.5 GHz

RAM: 64 GB

Storage: >= 16TB

Min Stake: 3200 STOS

Bandwidth: Up: 1Gbps Down: 1Gbps
